Simple curiosity here, it is common practice to not handle a snake for 48 hours after feeding. One large variable to hatchling feeding is frequency. As we all know everyone has their own schedule, some feed as often as every 4 days, while others every 7 and all in between. Everyone has their own reasons for their decisions with no wrong schedule (within these limits).
My curiosity had lead me to wonder if there is any noticeable behaviour difference between regularly fed hatchlings as opposed to those fed less often, IE. say 5 day feed schedule, 2 days "rest" leaves 3 days of handling. On the opposite end of this spectrum the 7 day feed, 2 rest days leaves 5 days of potential handling.
While I am well aware that EVERY snake is different in personality I would love to hear if the less fed, more handled snakes generally take handling better and become calmer adults.
I am not aware of any study into this and believe it could be of some benefit, especially to advise new owners on potential habits. (I have actually lost sleep over this) :shrugs:
