Don't forget, rabbits can also torment inadequate, bald hunters with speech impediments with their "wascawee" shenanigans. :grin01:

I appreciate all your imput but I think that is a good point that If they do decide they like them Im not sure I want to breed rabbits for the rest of the snakes lives haha. I think I will just do Rats.

This wasnt something I was planning on doing for sure, it was more of a "Is it possible? Is it worth doing?" type thing. Now I know, and I think the fact that they get picky and might decide not to eat any thing else other then rabbits turns me away from it because If I decide to stop with the rabbits it might be a Pain in the butt with the snakes to switch them back.

If you decide to eat rabbits for meat, be aware that you can die of starvation. There is nothing in rabbit for humans to eat. Might be good, but eating rabbits solely can make you very sick..... Once in a while ok, but not as a regular meat source. Just thought I would let you know...

thats one of the main reasons I dont have hampsters, gerbils, asfs instead of mice. I know the say that snakes will tear the crap outta those but...
A.) dont have the room for Gerbils
B.) Hampsters are kinda odd animals.. and can have the tendancy to be mean
C.) Asfs also larger and are mean in general

And.... Mice are pretty neat with colors and very space efficicient :)

No It would not be the only thing We would eat, it would be a way to supplement our food bill. I would still buy meat from the store and hunt moose and such when I can, but figured it would be a good way to extend our meat supply.

Caribou are the same way, a lot of people hunt and eat caribou (good eating :D ) but if you eat only caribou you will die from starvation also. Their diet is very low in nutrients so its more or less "Filler" like the rabbit would be.

Now moose on the other hand, is another story :D With the cost of food in stores now Im looking at ways to grow food at home to supplement that food bill.

Lee, I got ASFs that were about 1.5 months old and had them for three months. They NEVER tried breeding and they never got any bigger than a big, fat mouse. I think I got some derpy ASFs though.

Well I picked up 3 Rats today, 2 females 1 male. Keeping the male apart for now because im not sure if they are big enough to breed yet.
