Feeding between blue phase and shedding

Hi all,
I got my new baby last Thursday. I was going to wait a week before feeding her for the first time. I've been peeking in on her at least once a day to make sure she's thermoregulating and hasn't escaped. I noticed today that her eyes are blue. I know many snakes refuse to feed while blue and I especially wouldn't want to try for her first feeding here while in blue, but will they eat after their eyes clear up but before they shed? Should I try to feed then or wait until she sheds?

Thanks,
Rachel

Some snakes will eat while blue, some won't because they cannot see the prey.
I generally won't feed from the time they turn blue until after they shed. The reasons I don't is because if they refuse, it's a waste of food. Also, if you feed in the clear phase, just before they shed, I have seen a higher number of regurges, if they try to shed & cannot because of the bulge from the prey item, they regurge so they can shed.
It won't hurt them to skip a meal, while they are in the shed process.

Same advice here, some will some won't, but not knowing if they will or not it's best to just hold off until the shed is complete so you're not wasting mousecicles.

My snake shed just last week and during the time i fed him he was in tje clear phase..i didnt even know he had went blue before.he still ate fine and the next day he shedded completely in once peice. I guess it all depends on tje snake.id wait cuz itll just be a day or two..hopefully ..

They usually are okay if they eat during shed but... Still a higher risk. And I don't know if you have seen the regurge protocol, but I rather not have to do it! >.<
