Feeding disaster

It was feeding day. I usually wear latex gloves when i handle the mice, but today, out of laziness... I used my bare hands. And this, my friends, is the horrendous result of not taking proper precautions when handling a dangerous reptile. :grin01:

He was actually working on swallowing the tip of my finger when i took this pic. Quite an experience actually... now I know what a pinky mouse would feel when it gets constricted by a hatchling corn snake.

He likes pinky's

Hope you weren't severely injured during this photo shoot!
Guess you'll be keeping him away from the finger foods over the holidays!

Oh, thats cute.

I want to bitten by something, it makes me feel a bit left our, I havent got any scars or teethmarks on my hands. (And if I get bitten by something very big, I might just get off sport!!!:D)

I love small snakes trying to be tough.

I had two mouse-smelling hands bites in a week last week! I guess I'm a slow learner. After the first, Inez, the 10 gram terror, I was _so_ careful to wash before getting her out to feed. Then, I had to rewarm Zee's mouse, and he chowed down on my palm! He'd have hung in there long enough for a picture, too. Inez was so funny- she just FLEW into her deli cup to eat after she bit me- she was _so_ ravenous.

Great pic! I hope you're not scarred for life.

Did you pour water on it to (or at least try and) get it off? :)

Haha that was the first thing I did!!! You can still see the water droplets on my hand from when I tried to get him off with water, but the little guy held on tight(luckiliy for me, 'cause I got the chance to take this picture). And literally right after I took the picture, he decided to let go by himself.

So I guess the pour water over snake head trick doesn't work every time... :shrugs:

cute lol

i have a king that does it, water never worked lol i just blow air in her face till she lets go.
