Feeding Pics - Tia vs Fuzzy - 1st constriction!

This is my daughter's '05 Okeetee, "Tia". This is her 2nd fuzzy and the first time she's ever constricted a prey item (this is a F/T fuzzy)! I measured her, using the Serpentine Widgit program, and she came out to be 19"... enjoy (she did...)

Today (3rd fuzzie), she tried the butt end first. Got on the haunches and tried a bit before she spit it out and found the head. Easier that way, huh Tia??

So, after she finished, I had to put her back in her habitat. I was handling her to warm her up a bit, and I saw her squirm the lump a little bit more and sure enough, she pooped on my hand and some on the carpet. Yuck! Now she's got her butt halfway out of her humid hide... get in there!

Next, on to check out my Jalisco Milk Snake. It's been 3 days since he ate, and I'd rather he poop outside the cage than inside, so I don't have to change out all the substrate. So I handle him over a paper towel (carefully, so he doesn't fling) in my lap. Got a couple urinations, then he settled quietly in my hands to trick me... and then literally tried to shoot out of my hands. I caught him. Luckily he didn't fling on me. Then a few minutes later...jackpot! Huge poop and a musk... whee!

Anybody else do this, or am I just weird?

P.S. My daughter prepared the fuzzy today. I told her... "this is your snake, you have to learn to feed her all by yourself". She did a good job, but griped the whole time! Ooooh. Yuck! All that... I said "If something happens to me, mom won't feed them, so you better know how!"

Also, saw "8 Below", the Husky movie. It was great. Unless you're an android, you will shed a tear or two. Here's my Husky baby:

Beautiful snake and beautiful Husky!

I love how they're so cat-like. I had a blue eyed white for a while a while back and she was an arrogant pain in to butt who knew how gorgeous she was!!!

You are SO right, Adele! Sometimes I call her "kitty, kitty!" They are so light on their feet like a cat, too. And as smart. I really think they are the smartest dogs. Not the most trainable, but the smartest. They can get into ANYTHING. Go see "8 Below" when it comes out in Sweden. And good luck to your curlers, skiers, and hockey teams in the Olympics! You beat us pretty well the other day in Men's and Women's hockey!
