Female just shed and is ready, is he?

So I put my pair down for the winter and brought them back up in mid february. Female has packed on a few hundred grams and is nice and big(near 600 grams I believe), and just shed today, so I am assuming she is ready to go. I put the male in with her and she did her little shivers and jerks, like she was "inviting" him to come and play, even raised up her tail after going over to him a few times. I believe she is ready to breed for sure.

Thing is, he is not really taking an interest to her. Last year, I did the same thing but I don't remember if he had shed first last year or not, and he took right to her, courted her and bred a couple of times. He has not shed for me this year yet, should I wait for him to shed? Should I just leave him in there with her for a while? Am I missing something?
