Hi there! Im fairly new to Corn Snakes and today have found my female, Fanta has layed her first clutch of eggs. She was in her tank with my male, Lester and both of them are mature enough to breed but how do i determine if these eggs are fertile? Thanks a lot for your help!

You can tell by the appearance of the eggs. Fertile eggs are basically white, plump and firm. Infertile eggs (slugs) are smaller, yellow and more "gooshy".

Did u placed the eggs in a separate container with vermiculate or any other aseptable subtract that would hold humidity look up info about careing for the eggs it looks to me u had an accidental pregnancy because how u said that u had then togheter and she laid eggs well I wish u the best off luck with the eggs and hope to see some pics

Ok thanks susan. They arent fertile after all. They were kinda yellowy as you said and not plump at all. Maybe next time?
