Few questions...

1. Can you house cornsnakes together? A science teacher o' mine has two rosy boas who live in a 10 gallon together. (they're babies, and less than 9 inches long)

2. How long does it usually take for a cornsnake to get to full length? and how long do they live total?

3. How often should you feed? Or rather, how long is too long to wait between feedings?

Thank you! :wavey:

Okay, I think I can field all three :)
1) Controversial: I say no, search forums for "cannibalism" and "housing together." Basically, it can be done (eg. Jicin), but it has many inherant risks.

2) I think 2-3 years with most growth in the first year or two. Technically, they keep growing, but it's impossible to tell after a few years.

3) Feed a hatchling every 4-5 days, adults 7-14. This is VERY flexible as snakes can go months (I've heard personal accounts of up to six months for an adult, two for a tiny hatchling).
If you have more questions, post 'em!

Azruial hit it pretty well. I just want to expound on the feeding schedules. Many people feed their hatchlings only weekly, and have no problems. I personally agree with Azruial and feed mine every 5 days, but if you don't want them to grow quickly, weekly is your best bet. Just my .02!
