finally a weight on my girl

I finally got a scale and weighed my girl, Pumpkin. Her weight is 171.4 grams and length is around 35 inches. She could be a little longer because she was squirming so much I had a time holding the tape measure along her length. She just came out of blue. I don't know if that affects weight or not. I have been feeding every 12 to 14 days. When I first got her I was feeding every 8 days but I have gradually moved it up. I have been trying to wait until she goes into hunting mode, give her a couple of days and then feed. She has slowed down on feeding response since the weather has turned cold even though I have got her temperatures at 82-84 warm, 69-75 on the cool side. I was using a rheostat and gave up on that and got a programmable thermostat. It works so much better. I will never use a rheostat again for a snake.

Does my weight on her seem okay?

Somewhere between one and two years old I believe. She belonged to my nephew and he had her a little over a year. She was about 15 inches or so when he got her. The pet shop had no idea how old she was and he couldn't remember exactly what month her got her. The kid doesn't keep up with anything. Time has little meaning to him. I know she laid eggs last Spring.

Oh, I should add that I don't think she was fed like she should have been as a baby. He never read anything on caring for corn snakes. He just did what the pet shop told him. Fed her a pinky every couple of weeks. Kept her in a ten gallon aquarium with dirt substrata that was never changed, heat rock only for warmth, and a very small water bowl that I doubt was ever cleaned. she has grown 2 inches in length and added a half inch in thickness in the 5 months I have had her. She was also shedding every 4 weeks. She waited 6 weeks this time to shed. She just went out of blue yesterday.
