FINALLY got her done! :)

Well, she's done for now... Until I find something else to do to her, which I'm sure I will :D

Just got her back from the paint/body shop yesterday. This has been a 6 year project for me that my dad and I started on. This is what she used to look like when we found her, and this is her now. BIG DIFFERENCE. I'm a huge fan of The Dukes of Hazzard, and grew up with 2 older brothers (read "tomboy") so I learned my way around a shop, and have always been pretty handy with cars. I said I wanted to do my own restoration project... the boys started a massive search. My dad hunted this down for my 16th birthday. She didn't run, and the body was pretty bad off, but she didn't have an ounce of rust on her. She's not a total resto because not all of her is original parts, but she's a complete "restification." My pride and joy!

The only thing I keep thinking is "Well, now what the hell am I gonna do with my time???" I think I can only polish her and wax her so many times a day lol :D I'm so proud!

The Dukes movie comes out today, and I am rolling up to that theater tonight in the best kind of style I know... MOPAR MUSCLE STYLE!

I love Chargers! I would sell my husbands '79 Z28 Camaro to get one any day! Don't think hubby would like that much though. :crazy02:

lol I'll try to get some more shots. My "brand new" camera crapped out on me last night, so I'll have to borrow my brother's. (Should have listened to you Joe) I'll see if I can get some shots this weekend.

Princess, I drive a sensible car too. This is not my daily driver, and even though I've spent tons of effort getting her finished, she'll stay in the garage most of the time. I drive a Jetta on a regular basis. My mopar buddies give me crap for it every chance they get, but I know whats sitting in my garage, so I never care. :)

Yeah, thats me Mike! Crappy camera, crappy amel, crappy motley... No one can say crappy car though now! :D

Actually, my buddies at the shop took this pic for their portfolio. I'll give them a call and see if they took some more, and if they'll email them to me or something. They've been with me since the beginning and they always comment to everyone about how good she's turning out, so they may have an entire "baby album" in that shop somewhere that I don't know about!

Yeayah! That's what I'm talkin' bout. Something about the profile of those cars just really spreads my toes. Thanks for sharing

If I'm not mistaken, that is a 1968 Charger :wavey:

Free drink in the Grotto for you! You would be absolutely correct Mike. Its not an RT, so no Hemi, but the 383 does the job pretty well. :grin01: Thanks guys! I'm just so incredibly overjoyed that she's finally done. I've been waiting on this for 6 years. I call her Beauty (get it... she's black... get it??? lol) I've been retarded giddy all day.
