FINALLY PICS OF PUNKIN MY '10 EXTREME OKEETEE

Newbie question: is an extreme okeetee the same thing as an Abbott's banded okeetee? I'm having a hard time getting all the morphs straight...I have a normal. They're easy. :D

"Extreme" Okeetee is a name that was kinda coined by KJ Lodrigue, Don Soderberg and I... it seemed to have caught on.

Today the term "abbott's" is abused (and to correct your above statement- BANDED is a a different look than standard okeetee look...banded corns have streached saddles where the dorsal blotches blend/connect with side blotches giving a "banded" appearence). Back to abbotts.... Abbott line okeetees have bceame so popular that people have crossed them with everything from "regular" okeetees to normal corns and have passed off babies as ABBOTT okeetees.

We began applying the "Extreme Okeetee" name to our okeetees because all our breeding stock has been HAND picked/slectevely bred from the best of the best animals- you have a much greater chance of obtaining a "trophy" okeetee from these lines I believe.

2010 marked a change in my okeetee breedings. My crazy thick bordered male Okeetee was finally breedable. I crossed him with my best of the best females. If the babies grow up to look anything like the adults, they'll be amazing... I believe they are worthy of the "Extreme" Okeetee name.

Don't know if that cleared anything up.... The parents to that baby are pictured below!

An extreme has abbots in It

:) Correct... hand-picked abbott line animals. I probably covered it in the above post... It's just a name we're using so our customers know they are getting quality okeetee animals- getting what they paid for...

The top photo in the post above is my Trophy male (I'm trying to create a HALLOWEEN OKEETEE bloodline where the black of the saddle borders fills- or nearly fills the saddles, thus creating a bright pumpkin orange animal with black blotches)... he's from a LOVE line X Abbott line cross (some people refer to this particular line crossing a ABBOVE Okeetees - get it? lol...)

The female (bottom photo) was a handpicked animal straight from Lee Abbott...

I guess in theory, Frenchy89's baby female Okeetee is 75% Abbott & 25% Love (Kathy Love www.cornutopia.com ) line... she'll be a looker...

Beautiful. I love extreme Oks. Also, I have a theory that the closer a snake is to 'classic' the better it will eat as a hatchling.
