Fire proofing paint toxic to corns?

If I paint the wooden planks with fire retardant paint, wait for it to fully dry, will it be toxic to the corn snakes? This includes under the wood shelves covering the tubs that the snakes can reach. But of course, the fire retardant paint would be allowed to dry for a full week at least before any corns go in there.

Hmmm,

Not knowing much about that sort of paint I dont know. I do however suggest reading the paint label and MSDS VERY thoroughly before trying it. If there are ANY warnings about its use with animals I wouldn't do it. But then I'm so paranoid I probably wouldn't use it unless it was considered safe on food handling surfaces by the FDA.

(MSDS= Material Safety Data Sheet)

Wow, ok.. Is there not some equivalent you can get? Actually there should be, Im willing to bet if you did a google search for the MSDS on whatever paint brand and type you are using it would come up..
