first corn- is he a "normal"?

Hi! I just got my first corn after much preparation and just wanted to get confirmation- isn't he a normal? The folks at the pet shop didn't have that info. I think he's about to shed so maybe this isn't a great time to take pics but I'm really curious. He does have the typical checkerboard tummy.

He is a normal but you need to take pictures once he sheds. He looks like he is going to be stunning colors. Please keep us posted on this little guy.

Awesome! That's what I was after but am a little unsure of myself. I tried local breeders but everyone was out of 6month to 1 year normals. So I was left with either a pet shop that couldn't tell me for sure what I was getting, or trying to get one shipped to a very rural area. Took a gamble. He seems to be very healthy. And... I'm rambling now. Sorry- very excited! thanks!

I will post a pic on this thread again after he/she sheds. I'm thinking it's imminent since he has been wandering the cage rubbing his nose and side of his head on stuff. We'll see in the morning!

Cute baby! Most of mine are from Petshops(6 from Triple R corns, 1 from the SPCA, 1 from her old owner and 6 from the petshops) :) Nothing wrong with petshop corns most do come from breeders after all :)

I have watched 2 of mine shed, it's really neat to watch and it makes a crackling sound.

after shed pic

Okay, we had a perfect shed! There were 64 subcaudal scale pairs. So we're gonna call her a female. Here is her after shed pic.
