Just thought i'd update all you nice folks..

I fed Matilda today.

Wiggled the pinkie for her, she took it after 10 seconds by the middle of the mouse, then spent 5 mins manouvering the head round.

Anyway, here are a few pics of during and after.

Enjoy.

Looks like it went good. And it looks like she may be able to do double pinks soon. :D

And mine doesn't really seem to look for the head, I think. "What's this? An end? *OMN NOM NOM*"

Really? You think she might be ready for double pinks soon?

I only call her a she because she seems like a she, i don't plan to breed(yet anyway) she just seems to suit the name, lol.

I think so. Once a single pink is hard to see 1/4 the way down and then invisible at the thickest part of the body, I would say she's ready for double pinks.

Or you can go with the Munson plan, but even I don't have a scale. I think the really 'hard core' people here do, mostly.

I think on the last pic the mouse is between the 3rd and 7th spot on her back....

There are 7 mins between the first and last pic. Not sure if this helps. She did have a little snoop around after the last pic....

I only have one snake, so I don't think I'm hard-core, but I have a scale. LOL

Since it's my first snake, I like being able to check with the Munsen plan as well as the "eyeball plan". Actually, if I was going with just the eyeball plan, my 225 g snake would probably still be on hoppers, since I wouldn't have believed he could take an adult. The scales are not very expensive; under $10 for the regular kitchen scale and about $20 for the nice digital ones. I started out with the regular one, but recently decided to upgrade and I love the digital one because it's so exact.

I bought a digital one before thats accurate to within 2grams.

I can weigh her yet though, as she only ate yesterday and i'd rather my first feed didnt end in a regurge.

Scales are not just for those "hard core" people on here, it's for those responsible enough who know they have taken on a serious responsibility by taking an animals life into their hands and would like to track their animals growth (which can be for various reasons).
