First Feeding! (pic)

I AM A:
So I fed my new snake for the first time today, and snapped this pic (just a tad too late). His last feeding was the day I brought him home, they had just fed him at the pet store. Anyway, I know the mouse was frozen/thawed, but will a corn only constrict when needed? I thought I saw somewhere that they will constrict every time before eating, which he didn't. Hmmm.

cool looking snake! and they dont always constrict, mine doesnt. but i've read that usually hatchlings dont, but when they get older/bigger, thats when they'll start to constrict their food.

I think it may depend on the snake's temperament, I feed f/t and I have a couple that will always 'kill' the mouse first before they eat it. one of which has also happened to bite me a few times
