First hatchling of the year!!!

Hooray!!! That is wonderful! I am soooo happy for you! Can't wait to see how many hatch in the end and then see how they develop!

Thanks a lot! This has been a very rewarding week seeing these beautiful little guys hatching out. We still have 3 eggs left and 2 of those seem fairly active with all the cutting the neonates are doing to the eggs. So, it should be soon when they will emerge. This one that just hatched this morning actually had cut his egg open and kept poking his head in and out over the last 2 days before finally deciding to come out into the world. :)

So are you going to be selling any of these little ones?
That's the initial plan. But these snakes are also part of a genetic testing experiment to see if they will remain tri-colored or will turn into bi-colors like their parents. If the other 3 eggs hatch out, I'm sure I will part with some. I also have a clutch of 7 eggs from the same parents that hopefully will hatch April/May. I might even consider just holding back this clutch and plan on selling the upcoming clutch. I'm just not sure at this time. :crazy02:
