First Pips of 2010!! Actually first Corn pips ever, for Medusa! :)

That's so cool. Congrats Wayne!

I have my first eggs in the incubator as we speak (day 33ish), and I can't even wait to have them hatch out.

Thanks Everyone!! Yeah, they are cute and fun. I may keep one just because it's my first corn clutch to hatch. I hatched out milks last year. This is cool! They are all cute and hopefully they all eat!

I'm going to grab pics after they shed and eat. I'm going to seperate them at that time.

This is fun!!

From the date of the first pipping to the last one out of the egg, I average 5 to 6 days. I actually leave them be in the egg hatching containers until they've had their first shed which is a week(ish) after hatching. Then I separate out and take pics and then feed and then sex. In that order.

They all finished hatching, so I took them all out of the hatching bin and put them in a bin together. I was planning on doing this until they all shed and I was ready to feed them.

Okay, check that. I will no longer be feeding then sexing. I was going to try that this year to see if it improves their first time feeding response by reducing the stress . . . The two clutches I did it with . . . every single hatchling took a nice little dookie all over during the sexing process. (Some of us have to learn the hard way. It's obvious once you really think about it.) I will continue to let them shed, take pics, sex, separate and then feed. I think I'll just wait a day after the sexing and separating before feeding to try and reduce stress. Fun fun!
