I woke up this morning and saw Domino soaking in his water dish, He is in blue so I figured thats why he was soaking. Then he opened his mouth really wide, and up came a half digested pinky. I immediately removed the regurge and changed his water. The funny thing is, it didnt smell like anything.

He last ate Friday the 12th and the pinky I gave him was a little bigger than he is used to. and yesterday (monday 15th) he still had a small lump, and it had been 3 days. So was the pinky to big for him as to the reason he regurged? I also had a friend over last night and we had him out for awhile, and he was holding him. So it could have been to much activity for him right now, or a number of things. He is scheduled to eat again tomorrow, But I know I cant feed him for another 10 days?? Is that true? and what about handling him, should I just leave him alone for 10 days? I'll have to read the regurge faq again, I just skimmed through it before.

Any comments will be appreciated.
 
It's true, no more food for 10 days. Though some say that you can wait a week then feed. I generally use the rule that if they still have a lump, they don't want to be bothered. Also, maybe try waiting a full week between feedings on a regular basis. When I first got my corn(s) I always wanted to make sure they had pleanty of food, but my hatchling still had a lump for up to 4 days after feeding, so I started to move to a week schedule and as soon as she got a little bigger the lump was gone in a day. On another note, when my sick guy regurged it didn't smell either, just looked gross. And mummified.
 
You're doing everything you can for him if you follow the FAQ. One thing I would suggest though is to cut the backs of the mice before you use them, if you're not doing it already. It helps the snake digest it more quickly.
 
I had an 03 give me all kinds of regurg problems to the point where I figured it was only a matter of time till she eventually died. I followed the 10 day recommendation in K. Love's book and added what I believe made the difference, added NutriBac to her diet. She's now growing at her fastest rate yet and is pretty fiesty. It's available on her website cornutopia.com for around $10.00 a bottle. With only having 1 snake, although I'm sure that will change, a bottle will last forever.

You've got to be disciplined in what she suggests with no handling to speed his recovery or he may get worse. If you miss handling him, I guess it's just another reason to get another snake.:grin01:
 
Double check your temps on the warm side and make sure they are at least around 82-84 degrees. Sometimes if they're too low the food won't digest fast enough and they'll regurge. I've had one regurge so far and that was over a year ago. I still have no idea why she regurged, and she never has again. Sometimes there's just no reason! It's frustrating but it happens. I also used Grapefruit seed extract in the water during the recovery period too. 2-3 drops per 8 oz. of water. I just stored it in a container and put fresh water in the bowl everyday.
