First release MP Herp Management

Have been working with this program for a few days now and overall really love the managment aspects. Like how the genetics program is incorporated into a tab within it.

Given your interest in genetics and the predictor you include - have you ever considered making the color pattern and morphs of individual snakes into data fields. Would be even better if you could record het status for various genes for individual snakes (I know I am not asking for much LOL!!).

If the morph info linked to the genetics predictor you could just choose the snakes names as drop downs under the female and male sides of the genetic predictor and be able to do comparisons on progeny more rapidly.

Another interesting enhancement would be bar graphs of the feeding of individuals by month - especially if you could compare between two snakes - show total for each category of prey consumed by each of two different snakes in any given time period.

Don't take these as critiques - I really love the program as it is now - just though you had asked for suggestions at one point - and seems you like to do programming - so I would find these useful.

Thanks again for the program - definitely having fun with it for my limited collection of corns - very user friendly.

wow, vanderkm, That's exactly what I was thinking, and I couldn't have said it better, so I won't say any more.
Another great program from MP, Thanks!

Mary,

That is something I really have to think about. It sounds very promising.. It is just that I will not have enough time in the near future to implement something like this.. But I will think about a good way to implement it.

I've used it too - it could use a few erginomical touches here and there, but pretty well a nice program... It did crash on me one time and I lost all of the changes I had made since it's initial opening. Appearantly the information is only saved upon proper exit from the program. Is there a way to fix this? Even I have to click a SAVE button... I don't mind one lick.

Thanks!
