Our corn recently went pre-shed, eyes opaque, so I've been misting a little and generally leaving it be. I've offered 2 pinkies on different occasions and both times refused, I've even left them in the viv for the corn to eat at its liesure but no joy. It's been about a week to 8 days since last feed. Is this normal behaviour during pre-shed and shed, or should I be concerned? Any info and help will be appreciated. Thanx.

Everything seems to be on track. Dont try to feed again untill after shed, doesnt sound like your snake is interested and they can go A LOT longer than 8 days without any real issues. some snakes just dont eat when they're shedding. Dont worry...although i know that can be hard. :)

As RosieReal said, don't worry! :D

There are many corns that refuse to eat during the shed process, so it's completely normal if yours is refusing a meal, too. Just breathe, be patient, and before you know it, you'll have a very pretty, very hungry snake!

Oh you just getting to the fun part!!!
don't worry your snake is fine... you on the other hand....:crazy02:

Thanks for all your support! Today I found the totally intact slough, so, as you said everything was cool. But it was a worry as I'm a first timer with corns. I'm going to attempt sexing using the skin. Apparently you can tell by counting under-belly scales from the vent to the tip!! Unless you guys know of an easier option. Yes Lennycorn it was a case of ..... me on the other hand!
