I've had my little guy for about 3 weeks. I fed him a few days ago and he was keeping in his hide on his heating mat. No worries that's totally normal. However, since he was in his hide i saw absolutley no signs of the fact he was about to shed so this has caught me a bit off guard. I got up this morning to find him roaming around like a trooper and full length nearly flawless skin slithered around one of the corners, I didnt take any precautions or preperations for him shedding A: b/c i couldnt tell and B: I didnt expect it so soon.

Any advice input opinions or anything is cool, just wanted to throw it out here since I wasnt sure what to expect.

It's all good. You only need to provide extra moisture if you anticipate a problem or if the ambient humidity is really low. What's his morph? Some you can barely tell anyway. He'll tell you if he doesn't want to be handled or fed before a shed or if it doesn't bother him at all.
