First Shedding With Me Approaching

Kazarus

Awesome Since 1984
I've had my corn for 21 days. Just fed him 3.5 days ago, and he still hadn't come out to try his escape tactics, as usual.

I was wondering if maybe he was in blue, so I checked. He was a little jumpier than usual, almost defensive but not quite, but sure enough - his eyes were blue. He's not paler in color, or cloudy or anything - at least not yet.

I cleaned out his tank, gave him fresh water, put damp paper towels in all of his hides, and covered the glass with a towel so he feels safer.

I don't plan to bother him much over the next week, except for checking his water and necessities. I'll keep an eye out for the shedding though so I can make sure its eyes and tail tip are good.

Anything else I need to do that I haven't thought of?

My friend's recently shed, out of nowhere. We take it out each day, and yet, we never saw blue eyes or color change or anything. Just one day, it shed perfectly. Very strange. Mine at least is exhibiting the normal reclusiveness and blue eyes :D

I live in Louisiana, so he should have plenty of humidity. I'll probably have to change out the paper towels when he gets close to shedding, as they'll dry out. I'm not quite sure how long his eyes have been blue, since I generally don't mess with him after he eats, so he's been left alone for three days.

I'll keep an eye on him without disturbing him too much, and let you guys know how it goes. If I've missed anything I should be doing, let me know :)
