First Snake :D :D :D

Cool snake... if you're still looking for a name for it and would like a Portuguese translation to any word, just let me know... :)
My friend Cohazard named his Sol (sun in Portuguese, but he didn't need my help though)

Good looking snake, and welcome to the forums/hobby. If you are still looking for a name, why don't you name him pedro?

Aw the little guy looks so cute! Zeke loves to hide in the tiny corners, I love to put him/her on my desk and watch him/her crawl into the favorite corner.

Sometimes I forget Zeke is there, but I always know where to find him/her, under the favorite stuffed animal...

So cute and congrats!

congradulations, I know the feeling of getting your first snake, I always watched him and worried about what I was doing wrong, I fed my snake a pinkie every three days, because I was nervous he might starve and then I realized every 4-5 days was fine, now 4 years later it's routine and corn snakes are pretty hardy snakes, that's not to say they can't develop health problems, but I was always so nervous about feeding and holding mine at first and he is big and healthy as can be now.
Take lots of pictures, I didn't have a camera when I got my first snake, so I only have pictures of him when he's a little older, and I wish I had photos to remember just how small he was, because he has changed so much, he's a ghost by the way (hypo-anery).
I now have 5 corn snakes and other snakes as well, but my first one was very special to me because I always wanted a snake, and my mom surprised me when she picked me up at the video store I was working at with a very light movie case, she said "be careful" and when I opened it there was my corn snake, I felt like I was dreaming he was so beautiful and I just wanted to hold him right away, but I just let him settle in and fed him 2 days later, he's the biggest friendliest snake I have and it's great you will have that experience as well.

uh oh. well, check everywhere. and i mean everywhere. he is a baby, and he could be practicly anywhere.

start your search with small, warm, dark places. like behind the TV or under the refrigerator. you also might want to check in his viv. snakes, especially babies, are small and expert hiders. move around all the substrate to see if he baried himself, and check all the hides.

if you dont find him, there are various "traps" you can set up to try and catch him. let me try and find some threads about lost snakes and how to find them.

one thing you might try is to put flour or corn starch in your doorways. that way, if the snake moves from room to room, you can see his tracks. then you can use the tracks to find out which room he's in, and narrow your search.

in the meantime, you should put out some water for him. make sure you put flour around the water bowls too, that way you can see where he came from and where he went.

chances are, he's still inside your house. it's cold outside, and inside your house is warmer, and has more hides.

just remember, dont give up hope. i read of a case (on this forum) where someone lost their snake, and found it 3 months later.

let me go try and find you those threads now...
