Flippin' Tents!

So we pretty much keep two small dome tents up from Spring to Fall in the backyard for the kids to play around in, and they are about 15 feet away from the small creek that runs behind our property. Best place for Garters I have ever been. I can literally go out there EVERY DAY from about mid April to late October/early November and see one.
Today we decided to go ahead and pull the tents down, until we discovered there were a couple little ones still playing it ;)

We found these two Garters under the tent. They are both very similar in size and if I had to guess I would say they are both from last year. Needless to say we decided to leave the tents up for a few more weeks so as to not displace these 2 earlier than necessary. :D

They had MUCH MUCH more red in them than their slightly older family members that I usually see slinking out from under our crawl space...which are dark black and brownish yellow. I can't stand their musk, but you can't deny the beautiful color change they go through.
Just thought I'd share ;)
