What cost the remaining $175 dollars?
It sure wasn't vet bills, I think we can safely say that.
This whole thread just leaves me phhlubified. 3 snakes within a 14 day period is quite a lot. So either you've got some sort of rampant tropical disease afflicting your snakes...or else you
really need to re-examine your husbandry practices.
Whether you have snakes or not, that's your business. All we ask is that you care for them to the best of your abilities. And thus far, you haven't proven that to a single person here.
You say you're going to "look into things before you get another snake", #1 on that list is a necropsy, plain and simple. You don't know what you're dealing with, whether it be a disease or neglect, until a vet determines it. Maybe thats why you seem reluctant to go to a vet for advice or necropsies, the neglect factor. Seems plausible to me. Don't want others seeing how your failure to care for your snakes resulted in their untimely deaths.
I agree with everyone here, WHO on here has snakes and has NOT taken pics to share with everyone?? No one, except you, it seems. Is there a reason behind that? Cat got yer camera?
From what I've read of this thread, the "reptile room" thread, and other posts, you seem to be a young man caught up in a tangled web of fibs, and now that everyone knows, you don't know how to get out of it without creating even more fantastical fibs.
Based on your immaturity level, general lack of knowledge of reptile care, and low level of responsibility....I wouldn't trust you with a hamster let alone a GTP, monitor, chinchilla, or any other sort of "exotic" pet.
Just because you happen to have a lot of pets in your home doesn't mean you automatically have the responsibility to look after them properly.
All I ask is that you grow up, accept responsibility for your actions, stop fibbing, and think about how your actions have led to the suffering of your pets.
Aside: Lots of sociological and psychological conditions arise from the neglect and intentional deaths of pets or other animals in your surroundings. Its a hallmark precursor that's seen in most every case. The death of animals coupled with the incessant need for lying is a big deal. That is what essentially worries me at this point. Seeing the birth of a psychopath in our midst.
