Fluorescent Orange Corns?

SnakeNbake

Cuz that's how I roll!
Are these snakes rare? Rich has a few nice ones but so far I've never seen anyone else (either in Canada or willing to ship to Canada) that has them for sale. Are they really rare or am I just not looking in the right places for them?

I think that high-quality ones like Rich's are somewhat rare. If you're looking for them, you may want to keep in mind that there are certain lines of Reverse Okeetees that have the same look. That fact should expand your search options. :)

Thanks Dean! I wasn't aware of that but after doing a search I see what you mean. My quest continues but at least now my options are better. :)

Come down to Daytona...

this year. I'm sure Rich will be there as well as a 1000 other breeders of fine Corns. Many from here.

I think Katie (PtDnsr) on here also produces some nice looking flourescent orange corns if I remember correctly. I believe she had some at Daytona last year.

I wish I could go to Daytona. That would kick. I may have found a reverse okeetee but I won't know for sure until tomorrow. *fingers crossed*.

Yeppers...we got the seriously bright orange ones. My two holdback girls from last year are going to be screaming orange. I've attached pics of Mom, Dad and kids to show you (plus it gives me an excuse to show their pics). If you compare ours to Rich's you can see the variability of the flourescents too so be sure you get what you want.

lol...you wouldn't want me to stay at your house. I'd steal your donkey for sure. I'm all about the stealin. :grin01:
Speaking of reptile shows, it's off topic but I've never been to one and was wondering if the animals are cheaper there. I know there would be a lot more selection but are the prices the same as pet stores? I know all vendors are different, but in general is it cheaper? I'm going to the TARAS show in Calgary next month to get a wife for my beardie. Man I hope they're cheaper at the show than in the stores. I paid about $150 for my male. I told him if he wants a wife for that kind of money, he better get a j-o-b.

My jealousy over everyone's reverse okeetees is over....somewhat. I got a baby RO and he is gorgeous. He's the first snake I bought since Sophie died so I admit I was nervous about taking him home. I'll be sure to post pics after he's had a chance to settle in. Actually, I'm moving him into his new tank today so maybe he'll let me take a quick pic. :)

I don't know for sure, but I know I was able to get my okeetee for 20 dollars at our local reptile show. IF I could have found one at the petstore I KNOW I would have paid atleast 60 or more. Also I was able to buy my feeders at the ridiculous price of 50 cents each vs. 1.50 each at the petstore. So yes, If your lucky you definately can save money going to a show vs. buying at a local reptile store...
