So quick questions,

I have been feeding my baby corn who weighs 7.5g , 1 pinkie every 5 days (trying to follow the Munson Plan). Well it said that the pinkie should be between 2-3g. My extra small pinkies are only 1.5 for one and around 3.3 for two.

So I need everyone's advice. Should I feed Orion 2 pinkies every 5 days? or is that too much. And then when he gets to 16g does that mean i should feed him 4 extra small pinkies which would equal out to 2 normal pinkies?

Hope that all made sense.....Thanks in advance!

Well does feeding just one of those pinkies leave a lump after 24hrs?
I honestly think at that size though two prey items would be too much. You don't have to follow the plan to a T, your snake won't fail to thrive or anything if you don't it's just a helpful guideline.
As for when you do actually reach "double pinks" no do not feed the snake 4, that is too many prey items for such a small snake.

Yeah there is a bulge after 24 hours but barely noticeable. I figured the 4 extra small pinkies would be too much at that size but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. I'll stick with the one pinkie every 5 days and buy better pinkies when he gets bigger.

Thanks

I have two babies, 19 and 21 grams, that are eating double small pinks. I think double pinks, even small, are a lot for a 7.5g snake. The only reason I'm feeding my little guys doubles rather than a single larger pink is to use up the last of the smallest pinks, since there are no hatchlings on the horizon.

I've been having similar issues with my snake and deciding the feeding amount. I'd thought he was 25~ grams and had moved him up to a small fuz in the 6 gram range, but then I bought a scale and found out he was only 22g. Well, anyway, I'd bought the scale and was weighing him as the food was defrosting him, so I ended up feeding him another 6g fuz. Now four days later he is 25g, he did poop, but I'm thinkin he is getting a little chunky. I'm going to hold off a couple days and then feed him something smaller.

Yeah I bought extra small pinks for him when I got him at a reptile show because he was so tiny and I didn't think he would be able to handle the bigger ones. I just want to do right by him and want him to grow normally... so if everyone thinks that one small 1.5g pinkie is enough, then I will continue to feed him that till he gets bigger.

Thanks for everyone's advice.

P.S.
I did make the mistake of feeding him two small pinkies the first time I fed him and he took them really well....and no lump after two days. I already got yelled out by a friend who said that was way too much for him...
but he looked like he wanted more after the first one.... haha... guess you shouldn't always give animals what they want....just what they need.

I have 13 hatchlings ranging from 6 - 11g and they all seem to be eating well apart from the last one which I am just waiting to shed they are all on single day old pinkies and seem to be pooping a day or 2 after is this normal.
