You can make a water bottle hanger for tanks out of a bent wire coat hanger, or out of hardware mesh. They also sell them but here they are about $4 each.
Watch the drilled holes in case they figure out how to use them for escape hole starters.
I was being lazy plus in a hurry the other day and I have a preagnant one right next to where my horse feed is and so I grabbed a bit of BIR horse feed thought she could munch on that till I got back SHe seemed to prefer that over her mouse feed but I have never before fed horse feed and dont know if it is a good idea. I do know that most other livestock feed has lots of hormones so I would stay awaw from them. I have to say if I found out it was ok to feed that I would prefer it since I buy horse feed anyways
The above litter is from one of my mice which has about 14 pups each litter, I have another litter in a diff cage with about 10 in but that was from two mums and I took some of her pinkies out when they were born and I must admit they are a bit bigger so think I will take some of them out of the next litter as well.
Nope on the sugars as well as oats My Arab/percherant would be extremely hyper on sugar and oats. also I was always told not to feed horses alfalfa. Ill check the label and Ill let you know if you want, as I said it wasnt really my intention to feed it but the mouse which now has several young ones really did enjoy itdont think we have that make over here in the UK, but most of the feeds that i give my horses, contain a lot of alphalpha, mice can not digest alphalpha, you may see them eat it, but they do not digest it, so its not good for them to have it really. also it will be a lot lower in protien than you need, and will probably be full of sugars etc.

I was saying that There no sugar in my horse feed no molasses or oats either seriously one of my horses goes bonkers on sweets. Like a three yr old 1200lb after eating candymost of the horse feeds here in the uk are around 80% alphalpha, its the main chaff that is used.
oats are fine for mice, most rodent feeds have them in, but some of the horse feeds are pumped full of sugar, so was just thinking size of mouse, size of horse, mouse wouldnt cope with the same amount of sugar as a horse lol

I should hope your kidding or Ill have to go over there and kidnap ur horses on u! lol. Isnt it fun when someone else feeds ur horses and dont manage to read the large print of what not to feed then they wonder why the horse is literally running around the stall. Those were the days I boarded now I have them at home. Oh I better get off the horse talk and back to snakes:-offtopic i know, but ill say it anyway, i have 4 ex racers, and they are fizzy to say the least lol, as soon as they have anything with even the tiniest bit of sugar in, they are a bull on speed in a china shop lol but thats horses for you. sometimes i wish i could feed them off to a snake....... lol only joking
