My question is simple...anyone here use the rodent breeding system from freedom or anything like it?

I bought one 2 weeks ago and I am finding some mice either don't get how to feed through the bars or simply refuse to. The rat section seems to be faring better but I still am amazed at how they get the feed through those small holes.
I am really curious to see if this affects production since the rats breeding now were raised in open tubs with food bowels. Any other rodent breeders out there wish to comment please?

I use a home made mouse rack, it has 1/4" hardware cloth as the top of the cage/bottom of the food bin. I noticed 0 problems with feeding from my mice or ASFRs.
