Freezer for mice

Does anyone have ideas about where to purchase a freezer to keep frozen mice? My family isn't very excited about having them in the family freezer next to the ice cream - but the only freezers I can find seem too large just to keep mice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You can get 5 cubic foot chest freezers for around $150. I wanted a little smaller so from circuitcity.com I got a 3.5 cubic foot model for $150 shipped. There are 1.3 cubic foot models that are front opening, look like a dorm fridge but they're all freezer.

I got an Avanti freezer. It's compact, has a lock, and the door can be set to open to the left or right (depending on available room).

You can also switch it from a freezer to a refrigerator by changing the controls.

:-offtopic What's the big deal anyway?

Frozen mouses are the same as any other frozen 'game'. I have goat meat in the MAIN freezer, but I don't eat that either.

People who aren't reptile enthusiests would see it as 'weird'. Besides, they still have their faces. To some people, that's creepy.

In my house, my mother isn't wild about having mice but she's agreed as long as it's in tupperware and has 'SNAKE' written on it in big letters. Her main issue is because her mother called her 'mouse' before she passed away. D:!

Yeah I agree, I mean, many of us eat meat and will occasionally store it in the freezer. I'm sure a lot of us like chicken, sure we'll keep chicken breast or something in there, but a whole chicken would be pretty creepy!

Again, it's just getting used to it.

I got a small Kenmore chest from Sears. I think it cost me about 150 also. I saw I could get a smaller one for the same price, but then I thought- what sence does that make? I don't mind putting my personal food in with mice- even if my sisters family is scared of the idea.. So I now have my own personal ice cream-gin-and steak storage as well!

I vacuum seal my mice in lots or 5 to 10 per bag (for freshness) and then place the vacuum sealed bags in a Rubbermaid container labeled “MICE” (for courtesy).

You would be really hard pressed to see anything in the container barring opening the container itself.

Regards,
Steve

I don't see the point of anyone complaining about anything that's put in the freezer as long as it's sealed tight and perhaps wrapped up on the outside so to avoid the unsightly for some people. Although one health concern is to make sure you put the frozen mice (or any other meat product for that matter) at the buttom of the freezer so it can't contaminate anything even if it wasn't properly wrapped.

If a normal sized freezer seems to big, get more snakes and more mice.
