Frequency of cleaning?

I've had Fluffy since June 24th. In that time I have never done an entire cleaning of her viv. I scoop out the poop, rinse the fake plants, etc, but I haven't felt a need to dump everything and clean it. I "fluff" the aspen all the time, and have even picked up handfuls and shoved my nose in them, to see if they smell. Nothing smells. She's a very clean snake, poops exactly 2 days after eating, and always in the same place, so I never miss it. Pee I don't know, but like I said, I fluff the aspen all the time, like every time I have her tank open, and there's no wetness, or funky spots. It's just clean. Can I just keep doing this or is there a point that I should dump everything and scrub it?

We mostly spot clean. Eventually the cages start looking grungier than a spot clean can help, and that is when we clean it all out and wipe it down. I'd say the smaller cages get totally cleaned out every 3 months, while our larger boid vivs manage 5-6 months. Boid poop is so big it's easy to see and clean out. The baby corn poops are a lot tougher to find!

yeah, Fluffy's poop is very easy to see, but the new hatchiling I'm hoping to soon get I'm sure I'll have to do some digging

I clean my snakes tank every month or so. I spot clean alot, and I also 'fluff' the aspen. But I just get this feeling that the aspen gets too dirty and I have to clean it out. My snake isnt the most mannered snake there is, either. Last time he ate, he squeezed the fuzzie so hard that all the guts came flying out of the mouse and onto the aspen, the hides, and his body. It got me so mad, but I guess he just wanted to tell me he needed his tank cleaned.
But I would say, you should dump everything and scrub the tank with a new sponge every..what... month and a half? Or maby every two months. With a 1/4 bleach and a 3/4 water solution. Since your snake is so well mannerd (I'm jelous) :D

lol, she eats in a separate tub, so no chance of nastiness invading her viv, and I've been lucky, exactly 2 days after she eats, I check under the hide on the cold side and sure enough, the poop is always there.

I spot clean and wash hides, plants etc if there is poop on them, but i do a full clean about every 8-10 weeks.

hmm, quick question, how do you guys spot clean because all of my corn's poops seem to be, not runny but not really a one piece solid lol. do you just remove the surrounding aspen or?

and to answer the above question, i clean my corn's cage every month but i rarely spot clean(bad habit). my garter i try to clean every month but i usually procrastinate as it is a very jumpy WC that i wish i never kept. as for my bp, i spot clean regularly as mentioned above, boid poop is surprisingly like a dog's poop, log-shaped and big! lol

I've done total cleans every month or so since I got my snakes. However, I originally had on and didn't plan to get more (yeah right). I also had both snakes regurge from bad fuzzies, so I've had to do whole cleanings.

I'm planning on just doing spot cleans unless something looks bad or smells, now.

I just spot clean. I haven't changed the bedding in about 8 months to be honest. Morana dumps and then goes back to her hide. For the overly wet messes, I use an old spook to scoop it all out.

Spot cleaning is good except for the urine. it will turn powdery and hard to see in aspen. When you fluff the aspen, you might be spreading it more. I would do a complete clean every 2 months.

I clean my snakes homes once a week (during feeding time) and change their water everyday but that is not really required. I do it because I enjoy it. I think you should clean at a minimum once a month but thats just me.
