fresh killed?

when i get my snake i don't know if i will be able to feed it f/t because i don't think my parents want frozen mice in our freezer.. so would fresh killed be a good idea? i'm not squeamish or anything so it won't be a problem stunning the mouse or snapping its neck. what are some methods of killing a mouse quickly and "painlessly"?

i have heard of taking a ruler and breaking the mouse's neck with it. or a co2 box, but i heard co2 boxes don't always work and isn't very humane?

I used Co2 for a while. Takes a while and a bit of work. Now I just use the cervical dislocation method. My time is more important. I think the Co2 was more humane if I was careful though.

I would think that rational people would rather have a few frozen mice in a sealed container in the freezer than have to keep live smelly mice around.
