All Pied Everything
Well, I've officially chosen my hold backs. The rest of the babies are technically up for sale, but I am not certified to ship with FedEx yet, so I don't want to post them there.
I just wanted to share pictures with everyone. If you are interested in a particular hatchling PM me for further inquiries. I'm not sure when I'll have the time to get certified though. I just finished my summer school classes, which is what was taking most of my time before, but now I'm in the process of moving, so who knows.
Anyway, I decided to keep Fig because she just seems like an extraordinary Amel Stripe. I have a feeling she is going to be quite red. Due to this awesome coloration I've also changed her name to Sangria. Original, huh?
Alright, here are the pictures of the kids I have left
Sangria
Amel Stripe het Caramel
Gotta say, I'm not too disappointed she didn't sell at the Portland expo!
No flash, natural lighting
I'm pretty excited about her! Her mother is a solid bright yellow, and I'm hoping that she inherits that filling in of color. It will be very interesting to watch her grow!
My other hold back is a Butter Motley. I am particularly drawn to her because she looks like she may end up displaying hurricane markings. She inherited the cool outlining of the saddles that her dad has, but her saddle count with the nice outlining is much higher than her fathers, who just had them near his back half/ tail. Even if she doesn't turn out to be a "Hurricane" (not really sure what the criteria for a Hurricane is, do they need to be line bred? Does every single Motley dot need to be outlined? Do all of the Hurricane's Motley dots need to be perfectly circular?), I think her markings are pretty sweet. She's definitely worth holding onto for a little while to see how she progresses.
Lychee
Butter Motley [Motley/Stripe Trundlefart]
I think as she grows her first few Motley "dots" will be a little more outlined. I think I can see the potential there for fading.
No Flash
Now onto the rest of the kids that I have left. They are all doing well, never refusing food anymore. I really hope I can find some good homes for them soon!
