Funny eating pics...

Doesn't he look dorky when eating? :grin01:

(I know about not feeding in bedding, and I told him to eat on the hide where i put the rat but he didn't... :shrugs:  I kept an eye on any bedding going in but it was all just neatly pulled of by the edges of his mouth...)

Ohoh, I think that was quite dangerous, especially on that bedding.
It sometimes happens that I feed an adult in the viv as well, but as soon as they move the mouse away from the plastic hide, I just use the mouses tail to put it right back or I simply lift the whole mouse up - then they'll eat them "bottom up". :)

Mmmm..... the bottom up is a good idea for next time, thanks! I do sometimes put the prey back onto a safe surface, but I thought that this guy would immediately pull it into his hide instead and I was making pictures....

If I would have taken pic 4 with this really not so small bedding chip nearly in his mouth, I would have done something - especially not including "click, click".
But as I said, thats what I would have done.

I assure you, it did not get in... and I did have a pair of tweezers next to me to be able to take pieces of if necessary.... but I do appreciate your worries on my boy! I was hesitating to put in these pics, but I thought he looked so funny I risked being flamed.

I feed my corn in a paper bag, its a very good way to feed them. No change of them eating any sibstrate, still easy to watch, and you can also just leave the bag in the cage and leave the snake alone if youre on the run. They can breath through the bag, if you fold the top over once (for privacy), and they just crawl out when they are done.

lol, with ne and feeding, i hold the babys in my hand and they eat, and my adult, i put on the floor in front of my, on a pice of paper towel, just incase of blood dripping, and done

hey, is that Perseus??
I love the 3rd pic, you can see the inside of his mouth!

I have to agree with feeding on the substrate babe :(
