fuzzies

My snake is definitely big enough to move on from pinkies, but the "fuzzies" from Mice On Ice look huge. They hardly look smaller than the "small mice" from the same company. Does anyone have experience with this company or any alternative? I can't find a pet store near me that sells mice other than these Mice On Ice. I'll stick with 2 pinkies until I find an alternative, but she really is getting big ;)

umm u can buy them in packs on line look at my signiture, my site has 2 sompanies that sell mice and one has comparison pics. hope i helped

The problem I have found with online places is that you usually have to buy a TON to offset the packaging costs, and I can't really do that with only one snake. :(

From personal experience, I would not recommend mice on ice. I have used them in the past and was very disappointed with the quality (or lack thereof) of their feeders. Many are freezer burned, just this side of going bad, and in some cases, I only got half the animal. (missing heads, half the body, limbs, etc)

i got half pinkies, missing limps, and almost all freezer burnt and missing a lot more then i was suppose too from rodent pro and i also had to buy 100 so i go to a pet store look at te food idem and pickone the best size

Wow, I haven't had problems that bad with Mice On Ice. I guess I'll just continue the search for a local pet store that sells fresh mice...

Mice on Ice is very expensive at the local Petco. They sell pinkies and fuzzies $11 for a 6pk. The prepackaged stuff always looked good; never ordered bulk from them. have to check the contents before buying because someone at the store or a customer takes some out or mixes the packages. Trying to raise my own for now. You'll find quite a lot of info for ordering bulk online. Local reptiles shows will usually have a vendor or two selling frozen and/or live in smaller qtys sans shipping costs.

Well I only have one snake and I just ordered bulk online and then split with a friend. I would recomend that if by chance you know someone else that owns corns or snakes of similar size or just likes frozen mice in their freezer for kicks. I have the smae problem about the price of mice locally ridiculous.

I order from www.themousefactory.com They are really great and have always gotten me high quality frozen feeders. I know that a lot of members of the Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society get their feeders from them, and they are all very happy with them too.

I use Big Cheese Rodent Factory and I was really impressed with the quality of the feeders. I bought 100 and they ended up evening out around 48 cents each, including shipping...less than half the price of local feeders here. Here's the website:

Hopefully that helps a little.

I used Five Star Rodents and was very impressed.

I purchased 25 fuzzies and 75 large pinks and it cost me 36.00. That was with shipping included. Not bad at .36 each....They also came vaccum sealed.
