Fuzzy-lessness

Yesterday I went to the petshop were I get my pinkies.
My snakes both weigh 30grams, so according to the munson-plan
they are ready for fuzzy's.
But when I pulled open the freezer at the petshop,
I noticed they don't have fuzzy's.
Apparently they don't sell those.

Pinkies (mice)
Hoppers (mice)
Adults (mice)
Rat babies
Rat adults
(^they sell these)

The thought of bringing home some rat babies crossed my mind,
but they looked huge. I guess they were 4-4,5 cm long and 2cm high/big.
I didn't want to risk it and went home with a bunch of pinkies.

Any comment/advice of experienced one's?

Day old rats should be about small fuzzy size. I fed my little ones day old rats whenever I didn't have small fuzzies and they were just fine.

When I used to buy all my feeders instead of breeding, I used to go in on the day the shop's order came in and just sort through the stock because their size was so variable. Peach fuzzies were always the hardest size to find. If I couldn't find small enough fuzzies I had to make do with large pinks instead.
My local suppliers don't sell rat pups so I never got the chance to compare them. (So not much help from me, but a lot of sympathy)

If you get rat pups, get small ones. A mouse fuzzy should weigh about 6 grams and be about 5cm long. Rat pups may be a little bigger than that.

Thanks for the bits of advice :) I appreciate it.
Was gonna say thanks through the "rep. power"-button, but it doesn't work.
I know another shop, gonna check there for fuzzy's.
And if they don't have them there, I'm gonna get small rat pups.
I think they will be up to those after 2 more months on double pinkies every 4 days.
