Garter Snakes

These are my boyfriends two garter snakes, though they are cute they are also monsters, but the make me chuckle. They are always getting up to something, and they love their dinner.

Thank you, I would never of considered garter snakes until my boyfriend bought them, they are so full of character. Now he wants red ones

Dean knows what kind of garter snakes I want....
BLUE!

Those are pretty little guys you have there!

I'd LOVE to get a blue garter. I saw one at our local reptile show once and was >< close to getting it. Someday maybe.

Blue Puget garters are gorgeous, yes! I definitely want some of those, myself.

Currently I have one sweet little WC thamnophis sirtalis, just a common Wisconsin garter from out on the front step. Eats like a champion and is always out-and-about...a very fun contrast to the corns.

I used to have a pair of FL Blues but lost one about 6 weeks ago :(
so now I just have one - Boingo

I remember the Puget Sound Garters when I was growing up. Used to find them all the time, but the areas I used to do my hunting are now condos :(

Garters are flippin' cool snakes. I was never in to them until a few weeks ago when I found a Sierra Garter and decided to keep her. Watching her eat, hunt fish, and climb around her viv all day is simple and elegant entertainment. She's so entertaining, I decided to get her a friend...
