Hi, my name is Ria and i am purchasing a baby corn snake on Saturday from my local reptile centre. I have had advice from them and other people but it has all been a bit confusing, as i don't know which advice is best.
If anyone can help me with these few questions that would be great.

Question 1,
What size tank would be best for a baby corn.

Question 2,
Is it best to warm up the baby mice after defrosting.

Question 3,
How many days should there be in between each feeding.

Question 4,
Once i have got the baby snake home how soon can it be handled.

Question 5,
What is best to put on the bottom of the tank.

Any other advice on baby corns is welcome.

Glad to see that your doing your Basic set up research in advance of getting your new baby Corn :)

These questions have been asked / do get asked frequently around here and someone may even just chime in and answer them again. :)

Also, if you would care to do a www.google.com search for "Corn Snake Care" , some basic care "sheets" should pop up for you.
If you happen to see one that says they eat crickets, that ones just plain wrong regarding that aspect of there diet. They like mice, mice, and more mice basically.

Anything you don't understand, please be sure to ask after doing some
"basic 101 " care sheet reading.
Specific questions will get you specific answers many times and broad general questions will get a broad general answer, if at all. ;)

Cornsnakes will do well in almost any container, provided it is big enough. Baby cornsnakes will do well in a 5 or 10 gallon tank. Always MAKE SURE IT IS ESCAPE-PROOF!!!
There are five basic things a cornsnake needs in his house:
-A secure lid
-A hide box
-A clean water dish
-Bedding
-Stable temperature

I like to warm my frozen/ freshly thawed mice in a water tight plastic "ziploc baggie" in warm water until it approximates the "live" temperature of the mouse before feeding.
Frozen to serving temperature in minutes, it's a good thing.


You seem confused by what you've read so far, I take it,and are looking to be told what to do.
The book " The Corn Snake Manual" is usually/commonly recommended to New Corn Snake Keepers around here as required reading.

Caution, Corn snakes can be an addicting hobby,
just like the potato chip, it's hard to have just one :D
