getting 2 snakes at once

hediki

i luv them all.
i had two previous snake(amel corn, and a eastern milk) they were good and since ill be able to get snakes again i was wodering if its smart to get 2 snakes at once (pewter and a snow). thx guys

well the only dissavantage of getting 2 snakes is not knowing how they will react in the same enclosure, seeing you are putting them in the same enclosure. you still need to know what one you fed and when you fed it, feed them in a seprate tank you dont want them to encorpiate your hand wiht food. and you dot want them to both attack the same prey in some cases they both attack the same mouse from different ends and can eath the other snake if they get their mouth over the others nose, may i remind you this is very rare a 1 in a million chance. i hope i could be a help to you, you might wanna make sure they are not both male, they will fight for ground, but this is only if you house them in the same enclosure. :twoguns:

im not gonna house them together. i herd since snakes are solitary animal they get stressed out wen other snakes are in the same viv with them. i have a 20g(tall i think) that i want to sell and get two 20g long.

It's not a problem at all then, if you are keeping them seperate. If you choose to house together, make sure they are at least 9 monthes old and roughly the same size, and that yo quarentine them saperatly for 3months ideally, including hand washing between handleing from 1 to the other.

sounds like you know what you are doing, if you need help with anything just start a thread :twoguns:

I bought two snakes with in 1 mo. time. I keep then in seperate vivs in different rooms. Both are about the same age and both are the same size. I feed them at the same time. In seperate boxes. They shed within one day of each other and I LOVE THEM!!!!!
