I snapped some pics yesterday and couldn't believe the size of Glacier my 00' male snow. There was a discussion about him being mixed with some other kind of snake....I think someone said bull or gopher..can't remember. Anyway, he produced some very nice babies 2 yrs ago that I saw a few days ago. One of them is going to be a whooper like him...she was huge!!
I must admit, I haven't messed with him in about a month due no time but the hubby's been feeding. Anyway, I snapped this pic of him and Racie(late 02' male) and holy cow is he big. I use a fabric measuring tape around his middle and he's 7 1/4" in diameter. He's my big ol' baby:)

It was me; I said maybe seeing some bull (or gopher) in him because of his head... he kind of has the 'angry look' brow bones the bull has and quite a big head too. But I'm supposed to have an overly active hybrid radar some say :rolleyes: I still like the guy! What's his weight? I'm curious if he weighs more then my Miami... 1130 grams!
 
mmmm beefy. He looks fabulous. He definitely looks healthy and HAPPY! :D

I'm curious to see what he weighs and what he eats too! Big boy. Fabulous though!

Wow, 7 1/4" in diameter--->He's probably one of the largest snakes on record--Bigger than a Burmese or anaconda. :laugh: I think you meant to say circumference. So his diameter is ~2.3"-->still a large corn. I would think that he has got to have something else mixed into him.
 
lol yeah I was here at working trying to measure that out (though my brain automatically though circumference)

He just must be one of those snakes that gets EVERY LAST BIT of nutrients out of them mice! (or do you feed him rats?)

I haven't weighed him in awhile b/c he no longer fits on the tiny scale I have. I'll be getting a new one soon.
He eats 1 smaller rat about every 2-3 weeks. Mice are no challenge anymore. He use to gobbled them down in no time and look for more.
 
My amel is huge too. He's an '03 and about 47" long and 614 grams. Quite the big boy!
