Golddust is a combination from Ultramel x Caramel .
You can see and read about it by clicking the link to Serpenco at the right side of this post ( or a little right under ) .
I could have copied it , but the honor goes to Rich, so look on page 3 from the 2005 hatchlings :wavey:
I was also a little confused about that. Golddust is the name for Ultramel (Ultra+Amelanistic on one locus) combined with Caramel, as Marc already said.
Just one add from me - Ultra/Amel butter is somehow misleading. Butter itself means Amelanistic Caramel. You can never combine an animal homozygot for Amelanistic and Caramel with Ultra, cause Ultra and Amelanistic share one locus. Therefore I think Ultramel Caramel or Ultra/Amel Caramel is the better and correct label for these animals.
IF it is hom. Ultra, than it can't be het. Amel. These two genes are allel and one hom and one het. is impossible.
This can only work if your Ultra is an Ultramel instead.
my local Cuban buddy who replaced my non-eatter ultra het caramel w/an eatter ultra amel.het GD.he called to remind me after reading this thread :headbang:
