Gonna Be A Strange Year

Go Ahead, Make My Day!
I'm not going to complain, but my females are totally ignoring the "typical" breeding patterns. I currently have 2 females that shed at least 10 days ago and which have been placed with various males (for 24 hours) every other day since shedding...and absolutely nothing is happening. Not one male has shown the least bit of interest. And I have 2 other females, one was totally blue 2 days ago and is just starting to clear up that mated successfully within 10 minutes of having been put with the male, and the other female mated successfully 5 minutes after shedding! I guess I'm going to have to run a continuous cycle of pairings with all the females, regardless of shed status, just to make sure the males catch them when they're ready! Too bad I have more than twice as many females than males or else I would just keep the pairs together at all times unless they're being fed.
