Gorgeous Wide Pin Stripe Caramel Motley

I love the wide striped motley pattern on this little guy. He doesn't have a faulty eye - that's a piece of vermiculite stuck on his eye. :)

This is the first time I've had one hatch with such a wide stripe. The father is a pure Striped Amber, and the female is a regular caramel motley but I think it was just a fluke that this one has such a nice wide stripe. I somehow doubt the wide stripe is inheritable, but I could be wrong.

Just to be clear - what do you call the "stripe"? The background color on the snake, or the actual stripes (dark brown)? ^^ This is something I've always wondered but never really dared to ask at the risk of sounding like an idiot :p

Ah, alright, thanks! So it's the opposite of what I always thought. I figured that we always refer to the saddles and such for the pattern, so I figured we were not naming the background color here either. Anyway, thanks for the clarification! :)
