I have a few concerns.
First of all, he is very skiddish. I realize this is probably because he is stressed and not used to his new environment. I have a good sized tank, an under-heating pad, a hideout, water, ect ect. The basics. He was very interested in exploring his new world.
Anyways the pet store told me they hadn't fed him yet since they just got him last week. So they suggested I buy a pinkie to feed him today. I put him in a seperate small tubaware container and he wouldn't eat the pinkie (which was live.) So I decided to freeze it myself and try again later. Anyways, I was trying to gently take him out of his cage to feed him again and he bit me. Is this just stressed behavior? Because I hope within a few months he'll be tame enough to show around to people without fear or bites.
Anyways he finally ate the thawed out pinkie. Do you suggest I let him sit for a few days? Do you think he'll be okay to hold after he's digested his food and calmed down? I just don't want to make any mistakes... he's like a new part of the family.
So any suggestions help. Thank you. :]
 
It is necessary to not handle your snake 2-3 days after feeding it. It needs time to digest without the added stress of being handled.

In your case, I would recommend not handling for 7 days. The stress of being in a new environment, plus the stress of eating may be a little much for your new guy.

As far as him biting you, remember he is very scared of you. He thinks you are a big monster that may eat him. It will take a little time for him to "trust" you. Handle him gently and for short amounts of time for a while to give him a chance to adjust to being handled.
 
Try reading the threads started under husbandry and basic care. Lot's of good info there.
Well, leave the snake alone for the next 2 days so it can digest the food. After that, don't handle it until the next feeding. Let is settle down for 2 weeks or so before you start to handle it.
Also, make sure the cool side is in the mid 70's and the warm side in the mid 80's. A thermostat or rheostat are the only ways to control the temperature of your UTH, which can get REALLY HOT without one of them. Also, 1 hide is not enough. The best thing is to have 2, one in the warm and the other on the cool side of the vivarium.

Corns are flighty little creatures :)

I've had mine just over 2 weeks now and in her viv she's so quick, although she's getting used to me now.

But they're not a "sit in your lap and watch TV" kind of pet, they love to explore and move around.

I let my Stheno roam the living room when she's out, just making sure she doesn't decide to hide anywhere, she's also taking to moving all over me, guess she likes my heat :)

Did it actually bite you, or just strike out? It's all in defence as it's a new enviroment and your snake needs time to settle down.

It's so tempting to get them out and handle them, but they need to settle.

Have you got any pictures of what you're keeping her in? If it's open and exposed they'll be alot less secure than if it's something enclosed.
