Last Sunday (4/10) I had to move my snakes to another room for a while (hide them from my frail Mother-in-law as I don't want to be the cause of a heart attack).
Anyway, when I moved the vivarium back to the family room I must bumped one of the front sliding doors and not checked it, because there was a 1/4 inch gap.
My wife even saw the snake (Mr. T) outside, but from the angle it looked like he was inside. So we lost Mr T. Searched everywhere without any luck.
Monday is feeding day, so I bought the usual amount of fuzzies for him just in case. On Thursday I gave up and figured I would not see him for awhile (if I ever did see him again).
While getting ready for my weekly clean up I set the feeding tank (Critter Keeper) in front of the viv and then I got distracted. I came back an hour later and there was Mr. T laying happily in the bottom of the critter keeper waiting for his next meal!
The best that I can figure is that he was hiding under the viv because I do not believe he could have gotten back up to the viv if he was on the floor.
Boy did I get lucky!
