Last Sunday (4/10) I had to move my snakes to another room for a while (hide them from my frail Mother-in-law as I don't want to be the cause of a heart attack).

Anyway, when I moved the vivarium back to the family room I must bumped one of the front sliding doors and not checked it, because there was a 1/4 inch gap.

My wife even saw the snake (Mr. T) outside, but from the angle it looked like he was inside. So we lost Mr T. Searched everywhere without any luck.

Monday is feeding day, so I bought the usual amount of fuzzies for him just in case. On Thursday I gave up and figured I would not see him for awhile (if I ever did see him again).

While getting ready for my weekly clean up I set the feeding tank (Critter Keeper) in front of the viv and then I got distracted. I came back an hour later and there was Mr. T laying happily in the bottom of the critter keeper waiting for his next meal!

The best that I can figure is that he was hiding under the viv because I do not believe he could have gotten back up to the viv if he was on the floor.

Boy did I get lucky!

Friday night one of my little ones got out of his sterilite because one of the kids didn't put the lid on all the way. We didn't even know he was out. We were watching a dvd, when all of a sudden, there was a snake on the screen. Well, we were watching "Finding Nemo", and as you all know, there is no snake in that movie. I jumped up real quick and sure enough, it was our little corn. He was out for a stroll and decided he wanted a close up view.

Nice 1 people! Glad you found your snake, i had a simular thing happen to me, my lil corn escape and went down the floor board, anyway 3 months later he turned up in my down stairs shower through a small gap near the pipes, saw him drop down, well i have him back now seems ok and doing good, ate a pinkie and drank some water straight away. (fornd him about 2 weeks ago).
L8rs!

Glad you found them!!!

LOL Too funny that Mr. T went into his tub for dinner and the other lil snake wanted to watch TV. I hope I am that lucky if any of mine ever escape! I worry about that a lot cause I have cats . . . I have already had 2 close calls with Orion, both times he tried to make a break for it and I barely caught him by his tail!! One was right after he ate, I thought "so much for no handling for 48 hours!" But I guess it didn't stress him, he ate another pinky and kept them both down. Crazy lil snake!!!
