Attack Iguana
As of yesterday, the non feeding ball python at work has hammered down two p/k rats vigorously over the past 5 days.

Also, I have not actually seen any mites in one week. Looks like the treatment is doing well! :)

:-offtopic

Does anyone have any recommendations on how to control a 4 foot iguana that is intent on trying to ruin Satan's rep as "Biggest arsehole in the universe?" The thing tailwhips or bites me every time I reach in to change food and water, so I have no clue how I'm going to get it out if someone actually wants to BUY it. It ripped a large hole in my leather gloves just for spot cleaning!

Is the Iguana a male? If so it probably won't calm down. Males are very aggressive for most of their lives. They aren't the best pet lizards, the only thing I can suggest is to leave it be as much as possible, force handling doesn't work on large lizards.

Yeah, it's a male. Thanks for letting me know it can't be forced.

No prob. Is it a store pet that has been raised there or is it a recent acquisiition? Many time Iguanas, like other animals-even cichlid fish-imprint their owner(especially female owners in the case of male iguanas), and will be very aggressive, especially to males of any species.

Sorry for the double post.

I have owned several iguanas(2.1) and of them only one large female was handleable and she was an absolute sweetheart. She also turned a very pretty orange color in her age, how I miss Lilith. With the males I always had to wear gloves, longs sleeves and heave jeans. The on time I made the mistake of going into their enclosure with no shirt on I caught a tail-whip across the chest that drew blood, and not just a little blood. They were in a 6-6-12 enclosure in our finished basement, and like cool guys we had the water tub in the far side. Keep everything as close to the door as possible!!!!
