guitar shredding and corns

i've been doing my homework for a while now on corns and have reserved a yellow candy cane from ecorep, has some damn nice corns worth waiting for. apparently snakes are somewhat deaf..the other half will only let me get my upcoming corn if it stays in my practice room which i have guitars and amps in use quite often.apart from that it's the perfect home

do guitars at 440mhz have an effect??
don't want to stress it out
thanks

the only thing I could think of that would disturb your corn is the vibrations from the guitar and stuff.....just my thought

Good choice going to Ecorep, I got an anery het pewter from him a couple months ago (and a Christmas card from him too!). He's great guy to deal with.

Anyway, as for your question. Snakes are somewhat deaf but 'hear' by vibrations. The vibrations from your amps could cause alot of stress for your snakes, especially when it's new and getting used to it's environment. Couldn't you keep him somewhere else?

Good luck with him!:)

thanks

thanks for the advice eveyone.i didn't even think of the vibration aspect of things i will have to find another location for the little one, just going to have to work on the missus somewhat.

cheers racheal glad your corn is doing well got any pics.have been in contact with ecorep for about a month and i can say they are pro's and have some of the best looking corns here in the uk i have seen .can't wait

Hey leejay

Ecorep and a place called Jungle Phase (which is also in Essex) has good livestock too.

Where abouts in London are you???

Theres a place in Crystal Palace called Crystal Palace Reptiles or Crystal Palace Aquarium. They have good livestock there too and some of it is quite cheap.

just another person here who has bought from both ecorep and crystal palace repitles - both are great people to deal with - the guy at crystal palace reptiles even replaced a hatchling that died as a result of being transited with another snake no quibbles or problems, i will definatley use him again (if he lets me lol). And phil @ ecorep is also brillant (i got my card too :)
Hey Rachel hows your little boy doing ? mines great, if you go over to the gallery and have a look at pipatics last post you can see a related snake :)

cheers guys

got up to crystal palace at the weekend it was worth the trip.
have some excellent livestock and were very friendly cheers for the tip..got to admit they were actually interested in the corns and not my cash not like some other places i have been.
still going to wait for my hatchling which is due in june from ecorep

if any of you guys have got some pics of ecorep corns post them on if you can would be nice to see them

Glad I searched before posting the exact same topic!!

I don't intend on keeping my snake in the smae room as my guitars but would it enjoy playing on it. Or would the heavy vibration of a guitar string (is the snake was on the guitar) cause it distress, scare it?

Is the whole snakes and guitar things purely a photo opportunity? and not enjoyable for the snake.

Matt

I have my corn (and gecko) in the same room as my guitars, bedroom. I do not play real loud with the amp (I save that for band practice) and I avoid using it when the snake is digesting a meal. Other than that, both animals do not seem stressed in the least. However I would probably keep them out, even if just temporarily, if you're practicing loudly.
