Keep your mind open to imagination.

The imagination of most people is dead before they hit their teens. Just a fact of adulthood unfortunately. No offense to anyone here=) At that point it solidifies into Belief or Disbelief leaving no middle ground for the imagination.

Ghosts/spirits --- nope, as someone above said, it would be sad to think that this life was all there was and there wasn't an afterlife....well, it would be even sadder to think that now you are some disembodied spirit, floating around flicking lights on and off and making noises in someone's house. (although, now that I think about it, that could be fun!) Actually, I believe what it says in the Bible that it is appointed once for man to die and after that comes the judgement. We are told to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so there is no room for ghosts or spirits.

There are many kind of types of ghosts, some do the same thing all the time and they don't know you're there, they do it every night, their spirit is what's left. There are also ghosts that want to contact to you, tell you something, for instance tell you to say good-bye to a loved one they never got to talk to before they died. When they stay, they have a mission or they are trapped (they don't know how to go to the other side) Ghosts-- there is not scientific proof... you either believe it or you don't. For me and probably hundred of thousands of other people who have expierienced unexplained things, you know there's something other than people in this world. It's a complicated debate. (This is what I think)

Here is something from The Atlantic Paranormal Society:

When a person dies their individual systems shut down independently, your kidneys fail, then your respitory system shuts down, then your heart stops beating and finally your brain stops functioning. Since all these systems are controlled by electrical impulses the electricity has to go somewhere. It is a general law of physics that
energy can not be destroyed, so where does the energy go when your body shuts down? It is released into the atmosphere.

When a person dies a slow or natural death the energy is released more slowly and in a less concentrated state than if a person were to die a sudden or violent death. This is why I believe hospitals are not the most haunted places even though more deaths occur in them then anywhere else.

Another theory I have been tossing around for some time now is what makes certain locations more likely to have a ghost than others. I believe it all boils down to
electromagnetic fields trapping the energy that is released at time of death.

I think Steve Martin said it best.
Steve Martin: Do I look okay? I know what you're saying. You're saying, "Hey. Where has Steve been? Haven't seen him on 'Saturday Night Live' in a while.." [ chuckles ] They want me. They call me every week to do the show. But I have been holding out for a little bit of this.. [ rubs his fingers together ] And so the calls fly back and forth, and I made a deal, and I'm very happy to be here tonight. I wish I'd asked for money instead of a little bit of this.. [ rubs his fingers together again ]

You probably heard I was into the comedy thing. Kind of getting out of that now.. into a little more serious deal. And so that's why right now I'd like to talk about "What.. I.. Believe.."

[ heavy music starts to play ]

"What I Believe."

I believe in rainbows and puppy dogs and fairy tales.

And I believe in the family - Mom and Dad and Grandma.. and Uncle Tom, who waves his penis.

And I believe 8 of the 10 Commandments.

And I believe in going to church every Sunday, unless there's a game on.

And I believe that sex is one of the most beautiful, wholesome and natural things.. that money can buy.

And I believe it's derogatory to refer to a woman's breasts as "boobs", "jugs", "winnebagos" or "golden bozos".. and that you should only refer to them as "hooters".

And I believe you should put a woman on a pedestal.. high enough so you can look up her dress.

And I believe in equality, equality for everyone.. no matter how stupid they are, or how much better I am than they are.

And, people say I'm crazy for believing this, but I believe that robots are stealing my luggage.

And I believe I made a mistake when I bought a 30-story 1-bedroom apartment.

And I believe the Battle of the Network Stars should be fought with guns.

And I believe that Ronald Reagan can make this country what it once was - an arctic region covered with ice.

And, lastly, I believe that of all the evils on this earth, there is nothing worse than the music you're listening to right now. That's what I believe.

We'll be right back.

Let me try to put this in words...

??? what are they ??? (scientific reasons?)

I mean real scientific reasoning...not Happy Bob the Ghost Hunter running the Paranormal Research Center out of garage or his mom's basement. I am open to see proof, but where is valid scientific reasons that the general scientific community accepts?

Keeping in my mind I don't believe in ghost flipping light switches on and off or floating about. And I repeat, I DON"T BELIEVE THEY ARE TORTURED SPIRITS LOOKING TO GO TO THE OTHER SIDE. And I never said scientist endorse ghosts.
There are scientific reasons for the existence of ghost. Call them theories if you like. Ghost tend occur where there are magnetic fields are higher than normal. The human generates his own amount of energy in different forms. Some more than others. In the case of catastrophic or traumatic deaths occurring in these pockets of higher magnetism it seems feasible (my opinion) these events are recorded. A combination of the field and the energy released in a traumatic event. Then played back when conditions are right. This could also explain some ghostly foot steps, knocking on walls and so forth. Let say every day someone knocks on your door everyday for fifty years. Maybe that eventually will be trapped in a magnetic pocket for future playback.
And I know what I've seen with my own eyes.

Ever since I got anal probed by aliens, I BELIEVE!!
Now, I'm just waiting to get my revenge!!
Yeah, I want revenge, too! I hate it when aliens abduct me, anally probe me, and then NEVER call, even when they promised.

I most definetly believe in ghosts, though I'm not sure exactly what a ghost is. I know there's something there, but I'm not sure what causes it. I also believe that some people are much more likely to see ghosts than others.

I also definetly believe in life on other planets. Didn't they already find bacteria on Mars, or something like that?

The rest of it, I'm not so sure. I'd like to believe in Nessie, but I'm pretty sure she would have been discovered by now. My theory is that there used to be something in the Loch and it is no longer there, and the legend just got passed on... :shrugs:
