This is the second time that he ate from my hand! The first time, I didn't want to disturb him so i didn't take any pics but I got him this time...

Down the hatch!!!:

He hasn't gained weight since his last feeding so if he's still the same by next feeding I'm thinking of bumping him up a prey size...

Maybe LARGER double pinkies?

The little bugger weighed in at a whopping 23g.LOL

Cool!

Just from looking at him compared to the pink, I'd think a fuzzy would be no problem for him/

Aww, it's so cute! Darn it. I'm getting baby TBS envy again. Sigh. I wish my girl would eat from my hands... You know, instead of trying to eat my hands. ;)

Oh yeah. She looks like she can handle a fuzzy, maybe even a hopper. It's amazing how big of a meal those guys can take... There's been a time or two that I've given Lucy a rat that ended up being far too big, but she's always been able to gulp it down and digest without issue. Total garbage disposal snakes... Lol.

Taylor, did you see all those Taiwan Beauties I was selling last week? Tough, I've sold them all.

I agree with everyone else, you need to move to a larger mouse size. TBS have a really fast matblolism and a huge appatite.

I would say fuzzie. Asian rats often like smaller meals BUT more of that item. My taiwan could take a med. rat easy but he usually prefers 2 weaned rats. Also it avoids a possible regurge.

Don't remind me! I would have snatched one up, but I can't bring in anything new right now.. =( Oh well. You'll hear from me next year. ;)

Thanks guys!:) I was planning on giving a fuzzy next feeding but wanted to make sure everything was going good with double pinkies...Might take me a bit to figure out their eating habits, but as long as he's eating and digesting, I know he's okay!
OH and Taylor, from what I've witnessed so far, they ARE great snakes aren't they? You definitely need to get another one ASAP!!!;)

Ok, tell me what a TBS is and why can't you feed them by hand? Are they nippers?

I do hand feed my guy. The only reason I use tweezers is to avoid an accidental miss!!! I hold Simon (my corn) and my Taiwan Beauty for every feeding, I feel it makes them that much more 'hand tame'.
